Overview

The Indian Youth Economic Association is a non-profit research trust founded in 2012. It has since, promoted economic research and the advancement of economic knowledge amongst the youth of the country. It aims to spread economic knowledge and the results of economic research, encourage the exchange of ideas between the youth and the application of the results of economic research, support the education and training of students in economics and to provide resources for young economists in the areas of education, research, business, industry, government and public policy.

The Indian Youth Economic Association primarily focuses on research, academic workshops and guest lectures. It also runs an online research-based news platform, The Agenda, that focuses on issues of economics, politics, law and technology. Aiming for objective, factual and transparent analysis and research for news items, The Agenda also focuses on reviewing media reports, articles and other publications. The Agenda has been producing both audiovisual and written content since February 2017.

Having organized conferences, guest lectures and training workshops for various schools and colleges across Delhi NCR, the IYEA has a history of strong tie-ups with over 40 esteemed institutions. The University of Chicago, St. Stephen’s College, Hindu College, Jesus & Mary College, Indian Debating Union and Indian Debating League include some of these partners.
